Well Durn!

A friend of mine has lost 80 pounds on Herbal Magic. She looks fabulous. I thought that maybe it would be something that I should look into. I am glad that I checked it out on line before making an appointment. In a nut shell they use high pressure sales tactics. They like to use a lot of guilt to help you part with your money and they want lots and lots of your money, enough money to pay for a very nice vacation. Most of the herbs can be bought at your neighborhood health food store for a fraction of the cost. I think I will go and visit Lovey at Natures Health Food Store instead and then use my Weight Watchers point system and then just get oft my fat lazy duff and walk on the treadmill. So...it is back to the grind. There is no magic. Must have been dreaming.

I'm right there with you, although I've never used weight watchers. I am starting a new plan tomorrow and back to my exercise routines. I am also going to try the one hour a day program I invented for myself a few months ago. It actually involves three hours, but it's one hour a day for each of three areas in my life that need improvement or motivation. (of which I've had none lately.)
I'm also going to join up with the January NaBloPoMo and blog daily. The theme is BEST. I think it's a fitting theme for the changes I am going to try to make. This is not about New Year's resolutions, it is about January starting a whole new year in which I hope to give myself the BEST of me. Good luck on your ventures and wish me luck on mine! I will try to phone you next week on my days off.
Talk to you later!

They call it Harbal Life where I am, but it's probably the same thing. Every ounce you loose costs a lot of money if you don't do it on willpower! I would not want to loose weight on teas and powders, I want to eat nice food, my food has to look and taste good, even when I'm dieting!
I'm not going to do any resolutions of that kind but I wish you luck accomplishing your goals.
Wishing you all the best for 2010, Christine. Big hug xxx

I think it comes down to a very simple(yet very difficult) "Eat less...do more". I am planning on treating myself well this year with better eating habits and more exercise. If you ever want to come over and use the bike or the elliptical trainer give me a call.We could watch a movie while we exercise.

You have an elliptical trainer? Sweet!

Since last January I've lost about 10 kg (I guess that is about 22 pounds?) by just eating healthier. Less fat, less sugar, more water, more exercise (which is taking the bike more often, walking more often,...). And now I've gotten used to this new way of eating and my kgs stay off.
Good luck Christine!

I totally agree Chris! There is no magic. Good diet and good exercise. It seems like one without the other does not work unless you do them to the extreme and that's not healthy. I also have a friend who is losing tons of weight on Herbal Magic but all it really is is motivation. Of course you are going to be motivated if it's costing you an arm and a leg. That is the trick though.

Good Luck, I struggle with the eating right and exercising more syndrome too!

Ugh. I hate it when companies try to exploit people like this.

Good for you for seeing through it all.
