Seven

Even though my intentions have been good, never- the- less, I have been a bad girl. I have not been picking up my awards. I have warned you, I am the queen of procrastination! The proof is in the pudding:

From Jientje, Heaven is Belgium

Thank you ever so much. I did receive this award earlier and actually picked it up.

From Jientje: Heaven is in Belgium

Blogging would not be very much fun without all the friends that I have met along the way. I love the comments that I get from each one of you. It is like going to the mailbox and getting letters everyday. So often it is the thing that helps me get through a tough day. I am going to pass this award on to the person that left the most comments for the last six posts. This honor goes to The Invisible Mo who is a real friend. Seriously, she even makes posts just for me! I am also going to pass this award on to Lucy. Why? For all the heaps of blogger love she has shown me by by bestowing all the following awards on me. I want Fluffy Up A Creek somewhere in Delaware to have this award as well. She has been more to me than just a fellow blogger. She has become a real friend.

Thank you Jientje for giving me this award. I am so glad that I have got to know you. It seems like yesterday doesn't it?

From Lucy: Lucy's World

Do you remember the show: Queen For A Day? I feel like that with my new sparkly crown! I want to pass this award on to Jientje. Out of everybody, she truly is the queen of everything! I have told her this many times. I don't think there is much she can't do. I don't know, maybe she can't yodel. In my estimation, that does not count. I really don't like yodeling.

This baby does not come without a cost. Rules are: list seven things that make you awesome then pass the award on to seven other people who you think are awesome. Make sure you tag the recipients and let them know that they have won. Link back to the queen that tagged you. Hold on to your hats folks! I am one awesome lady:

1. I speed. Hubby says to drive the car like you own it.

2. I always listen to my husband and am a good wife. That is why I speed!

3. I don't always follow the rules. I sometimes like to color outside the lines. So I speed!!!

4. Did I say that I like to speed? I did it once and I liked it. Does that not make me awesome?

5. I am not very photogenic. Is that not awesome? It makes the other people who are not very photogenic feel good seeing as how they are sure to look better in their photos than I do.

6. I am very speedy. I can evade cameras like nobody else. Who needs wheels to speed?

7. When I have to, I can make myself have my picture taken. I am brave. I am strong. I am awesome. I AM WOMAN! Just psyching myself up for the dreaded passport picture!

From Lucy: Lucy's World

Lucy gave me this award a long, long time ago. This award is all about being Sassy as well as being a bold, honest, colorful, beautiful and compassionate person with a true heart for her fellow human beings with an upbeat attitude always showing her gratitude for life.

I am not sure that I deserve this award although it does not seem to rule out procrastinators or exaggerators although it does say that this person is supposed to be honest. Is there such a thing as an honest exaggerator? How about honest to goodness exaggeration? Becky, Is that an oxymoron? I am going to pass this award on to Little Erin at erin uncensored. It fits her to a tee.

These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give attention to these writers. Choose eight more and include this cleverly written text into the body of the award.

I wish to pass this award on to Dianne Sunshine On My Shoulders. I think this fits her perfectly.

This award really does not need a description. In actuality, it did not come with one. I am going to send this one to Eve Adam's Wife Weblog. I find the ROTFLMAO lady who shakes her booty, ADORABLE.! It makes me smile every time I visit her. Saucy Blogetty Blog Blog needs this award too! If her blog isn't adorable, I don't know what adorable is.

Last but not least: TaDa! Just in time for Mothers Day!
I am going to specifically give this one to the young mothers: Sandy at Momisoides, Jen at Aspergertopia and Becky Just A Little Smoother. Any of you older moms who want to, please take this as you deserve it.

The rules for this award: Admit one thing you feel awful about involving being a mom. Get it off you shoulder. Once you have written it down, you are no longer allowed to feel bad. It is over with. It is in the past. Remember you are a good mom! After you have that off you chest, list seven things you love about your kids or that you love doing with them or that they love about you. These are the things to remind yourself everyday that you ROCK!!

My confession: Sometimes I don't answer the phone if I am tired or engrossed with something on my television. I have always felt guilty when I haven't given my kids 100% of my time and attention. I probably am not alone. Have we not all thought NOT NOW! Mommy is busy!! We might not say it but I am sure we have thought it a thousand times.

1. I love to go shopping and lunch with my daughters. I love to go gadding about with my sons. I love Saturday morning at farmers market with Jonathan or chilling and watching NASCAR with Mike.

2. I love it that my kids think I am funny.

3. I think that my kids are all wonderful adults. They are all hard working and responsible and I don't have to worry about them. I enjoyed them when they were little and I enjoy each of them just as much now. Each one of then has such a unique personality.

4. I love having the whole family together during holidays. It is wonderful. We are not always able to pull that off as often as I would like so when it does, I cherish it.

5. I love how they still ask for advise or phone me when they are sick. I want to always be their mother.

6. I love hearing their opinions on things. They have good heads on their shoulders.

7. I am thankful for each one of them. My life would have been so empty without them. They have been a blessing and brought so much joy into my life. I love how they are all there for me. They care for me and encourage me. I don't know how I would have got through the last couple of years without them.

Happy Mothers Day!
I hope you all have a good one.

Just so you know, my mother does not speed. Once she said "Oh I speed" and the whole family burst into laughter.

I like yodeling. I can't do it, but I wish I could. Especially now that I know you don't like it.

And just so everyone knows, Ang ain't lyin. And not only did we burst into laughter, but "I speed" has come to be one of our favorite family jokes.

WOW! that's a lot of awards. congratulations on all of them. that was a lot of information to come up with, too.

i hardly ever answer the phone. i love caller ID so i know exactly who's calling me. even if it's someone i like (hehe), most of the time i won't answer their calls.

thanks for passing on the friendship award to me. i'm honored.

oh, i meant to mention. did you happen to read my post. i mentioned that i visited manitou springs yesterday. i thought i had been there before, but i hadn't. i had been to colorado city which is nearby and somewhat similar. anyways, i fell in love with it. i am definitely planning a trip back down there to spend the good part of the day in all those quaint little shops.

I hate to be the one to break the news, but you are NOT the QUEEN of procrastination. I am!
To prove it, I am going to finish this comment later so I can go make myself something to eat. That way I am even procrastinating my procrastination.
Trump that!

When I got to the end of this one, I forgot what I was going to say. I think it was 'Thank You', but I'm not sure anymore. It must be short term memory loss. Don't tell my husband.
