This And That

I had a fun week away but it is always nice to be home, unpack the suitcases and put my feet up. We watched the last episode of Corner Gas. I am sad for it to be over and all we will have left are the reruns. Sigh.

John is feeling better this morning and his fever seems to be going down. Go figure! Poor guy. Gone all week, battling a fever and having to spend four hours in emergency is not his idea of a good time. A good time would have been feeling good enough to play with his energetic grandsons. I am relieved though. He has a appointment this afternoon to see if they will go ahead with the last round of chemo or if they will put it off for a week. Along with the fever his red blood counts were down.

I had a stack of mail to go through when I got home. There was an envelope from immigration Canada. I am scheduled to be sworn in on April 23! I am so happy. Still nervous but happy! I am sure now that I will be able to get my passport on time.

I had some time to do some shopping while I was away. I bought some new towels and a new shower curtain. I am going to chuck the old shower doors. I am tired of trying to keep them clean and I am tired of purple. No more purple! What ever was I thinking? I am jazzed! I am so tired of purple. I am going to begin the bathroom reno this week even though the yard is crying for attention now that the snow has melted. Can you believe that it was plus 20C yesterday? That is around plus 70F.

That sounds like Saturday here. It was so nice, I stayed outside until it was dark.
