Walking In Our Winter Underwear

Tis the season to be jolly and walk in our winter underwear. While it is not minus 30 C. you know the cold coming. I can hear all those collective groans out there...I can see your eyes rolling! Yesterday I hauled out the Christmas tree...today I have to go and rummage around and see if I can find the boots in that black hole of a basement. Wish me luck!
Today the snow is wet and heavy. Why do we always get the sloppy, wet and icy "cause accident" snow before the light properly frozen stuff. Yes! I know the answer! It is not a flipping minus 30C. outside! We have such wonderful options...accident snow or flesh that can freeze in seconds.
Canadians love to talk about the weather. Americans transplanted to Canada are the worst. We have such trouble adapting and cannot...get over it...so we whine a lot.

.Last year!

This year...it is early yet...I hope we don't get a repeat of last year!

The dog loves the snow. He acts like a puppy...frolicking about...galumping all over the backyard. If I want nice pictures I have to be quick. He leaves more track marks than the kids ever did.( among other treasures). Roscoe has an amazing memory. He was back to sniffing out the paremeter of the yard today. He is looking for the neighbors bunnies. The bunnies have been gone for a couple of years...I guess a dog can always hope. He seems to remember only what he wants to when he wants to. If he would think about minus 30C. he would not be so excited! I need to find his boots while I am at the boot search...yes...my dog has boots...at minus 30C. he is as pathetic as the rest of us...this way he has no excuses not to go outside.

This is Roscoe's' happy face!

A winter prairie garden...much prettier than the picture! I have not mastered my digatal camera...I have not mastered any camera. Just aim and shoot...that is what I say! Aim and shoot...

Those of us in the Seattle area whine a lot too. Loved the pictures of your house covered in snow. Personally I don't like it when the snow comes to me. I much prefer that I go to the snow. Guess you could say I'm a control freak even when it comes to the weather.
