Chit Chat

This is what I did today. Ahhhh....you knew that eventually I would have to resort to this! It was inevitable.

I got up in the morning. Hee hee! I played with the dogs and gave Shyla her antibiotics. Now this is a real joy. She does not want her antibiotics. It takes two people. One has to wrap her tightly in a towel and pry her mouth open while the other has to quickly squirt the drugs in. Here is picture of what she tends to do when she gets drugs. Yup, not a pretty sight is it?

Mike and I went to town. Really... that is funny. Why we say we went to town I do not know but all Martensvilleites say that. We went to the city. Funny to say even that considering that we are now officially a city. We went to Saskatoon.

We bought brake rotors for the car. I bought claw covers for Libby Bean. An altercation is definitely in the works between her and Frankie. I want it to be even. Her claw covers are hot pink. I will post pictures. I bought a book on Beagles. It probably won't change anything just make me feel more inadequate but hey, I will be informed.

We went to Wal Mart. We are insane. Nobody should go there on a Saturday. What a zoo. You should have seen the parking lot. A sane person would have turned around and left. I needed to buy a bell. I figured that I would find one in the Christmas section. Why? Well, I read that it is nice to train the dogs to ring the bell when they have to go outside. I am sure that Becky and Angela are howling with laughter about now. I am looking forward to their astonishment when Roscoe and Frankie saunter up to the door and ring that bell. Who will be laughing then? Who I ask? Ha! Me that is who! Yup.

I forgot to buy the neutralizing agent for cleaning the pee smell off the floor. This was the main reason for going to SASKATOON in the first place. Sigh....

Mike made pizza and we watched a movie. We watched: Knowing. I figured anything with Nicholas Cage had to be good. It started out well and was a not to bad movie until the end and it got really, really lame. We ended up laughing at the stupidity of it. It was the dumbest ending that I have seen in a long time.

Now, as soon as my cooking is done in Cafe World and after couple of rounds of Bejewelled, I am going to bed. Hmmm....maybe I will read a little more advise from my Beagle book that I will be inadequate to execute.

LOL. You were right about the bell. And I'll believe it when I see it. I think you're delusional. But I still love you.

You know that saying be careful what you wish for? Yeah...I am not sure I would want to give my dog a bell. I get this picture of Chris sleeping soundly in her bed when suddenly...ding-a-ling-a-ling.

Chris, that bell ringing when the dog has to go actually does work - my friends trained their dog and it rings the bell when it has to go!

Poor cat. I'm glad Bella doesn't do that when I give her medicine :)

Now that would be an awesome trick to teach a dog! Our dogs went to the door but they didn't bark so if you were in a different room, you didn't know they had to go. They could sit there for a long time with no one noticing. I think the bell trick is awesome.

And that is one mean looking cat!!

Ohhhh I remember having to give Patrick antibiotics. But I don't think he was nearly that bad. I would wrap him up in a blanket and hold him with my legs, pry his mouth open and squirt it in there. LOL And he'd always know when it was medicine time because I'd be running towards him with a blanket in my hands ready to drop it on him like a net and wrap him up.
