H1N1 Link

After reading this I am not so sure that people should be running out and getting this shot unles there is a really good reason for having it. I however will probably have to have the shot. They are already talking about it here at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. The shots will be out in October. They will not have had time to test them on humans before mass immunizations.

That will be another shot we don't do! We already opt out of the chicken pox shot, and we don't do the flu shot at all. I'm also thinking of having Tristan's MMR shot(the one they claim is linked to autism) given separately. Apparently that is supposed to eliminate the risk. I still want him to be immunized, but if I can cut out that risk, I'm willing to have him poked a couple extra times to do it!

well... this is very concerning. i guess i will try to do some research before considering the shot. the thing is, both of my kid's colleges are really pushing the students to get this shot. it makes me so mad to think that the government would allow the administration of this vaccine if they know it could be harmful. let us know if you hear anything else.

I hear you. I know that as a pregnant woman I am part of the priority population to receive the vaccine, but I'm hesitant. I'm not sure I'm going to do it. I just received the regular flu vaccine.
