Gone Fishing

On a scale of one to ten, my mothers day rated about an eight. The only thing that kept it from being perfect, was the lack of two little boys named Benjamin and Samuel due to their possible exposure to hand, foot and mouth infection, which so far they have not shown any symptoms of. Hopefully this trend continues and they will be able to come over the next time they come into town. Ben is so blond that he almost looks bald like his grandpa in this picture. (taken last time I was able to see them...sigh)

We went for Sunday brunch. The Phantom was amazing! John and I sat third row center. At one point in the performance, the Phantom was so close, he could have spit on us if he wanted too. The chandelier swung out over our heads. EEEEEE! It all went by too fast. I received a lot on nice gifts from my kids. Thanks guys. They make me happy every time I go outside. Hehehe!

Chickens for the garden

Birdhouses to add to my collection

The cabin house is cleaned and ready for summer

We love this mosquito free zone

The trees are finally starting to show some green

In another week my Russian Almond will bloom!

I have been working a lot and have a lot of work at the hospital lined up. I am thinking that I really...maybe...should give up the job at the grocery store. I don't want to give up hours at the hospital because I am booked at the grocery store. The hospital pays just about double for my time and I feel at home there which I should after being there 30 years plus I don't have to sit on a milk crate for my coffee breaks.

Well...procrastination time is over. I have to go clean the house, do laundry, grocery shop and pack for the May long weekend fishing trip to Barrier Lake. I don't plan to fish but should be able to get some nice long walks in the fresh air and just relax. I hope the guys and Melissa (who is going to fish) get lots and we can have a huge fish fry. I am salivating just thinking about that. Needless to say, I won't be here blogging for a little while and have no access to a computer at the lake so I hope you all have a nice long weekend! We have:

Oh I hear your dilemma about work. I say leave if it's not worth it. I just had to learn the hard way.

Your grandkids are adorable! Looks like you had a lovely Mother's Day :)

Hope you had a fabulous time fishing!

I hope the kids did not get the foot and mouth desease, that would be horrible! How irresponsable can other parents get?
I love the chickens and the collection of birdhouses!
It's nice to see that spring is finally coming at your place too, and I hope you have a great time at the lake! Tell us all about it when you come back!
