I Can't Believe How Good My Kitchen Smells

This Is Why!

Eat the Pie By Myself Or Should I Share?

O.K. I Guess I Will Share!

Thank you Jientje for the recipe. I have been saving it for a special occasion. My kitchen smells absolutely fabulous! It's all that butter and caramelized apples! I can't describe how good it smells in here even though I cheated on the recipe. I used ready made pie crust. We are celebrating John's 54th birthday tonight. Tomorrow he is supposed to get admitted for his stem cell transplant so we will have one more semi-big shindig before he goes in.

After waiting patiently all afternoon until our guests came, I finally got to taste...umm...it tastes even better than it smelled. This is delicious!

This is what Jientje gave up for blogging. This is a video of Belgium bobbin lace making. Isn't this amazing? A little Heaven in Belgium here in Saskatchewan!

That cake/cookie/pie concoction was FABULOUS!! I would have eaten an entire pie all by myself. Jonathan even stole some for tomorrow. I would have too, but I don't even want to know how many points were in that thing. I'll call tonight a right off, Weight Watchers wise. But I'll definitely be making that the next time I need an impressive dessert.

Yes, well OK I guess I'll have to delete the draft I made yesterday, you've got that very same bobbin lace You Tube video I had selected! We were probably looking for it together! LOL!
And yes, the apple pie is delicious! I am so proud of that one! One morning as I was drinking coffee at my kitchen table, I got so inspired, and by the end of the day I had invented this delicious apple pie recipe!
Thanks for this lovely post, it's too much honour!

Oh No! I did that last night.I was talking about the lace making. Melissa suggested looking on You tube. We found the video and Melissa showed me how to put it on my blog. Lets blame Melissa. LOL! Anyway... it is nice to have some heaven right here. Thank you again for the recipe. You are a domestic goddess! Next I should try making the roasted tomatoes.

The pies look delicious. And the bobbin lace is truly fascinating. Now I know exactly what is meant by "Belgian lace."
