Six More sleeps

Let me tell you, I am getting ever so excited. It is better than Christmas exciting! New baby exciting! I can hardly wait to meet my newest grand daughter, Hannah. Somebody needs to come and tie me down. I think that if I get at some of the projects that I have lined up, it would help the time go faster. It needs to go faster! It has slowed to a crawl. That is what happens when you are looking forward to something. Have you ever noticed that? If it is something that you are dreading time speeds up. If it is something that you want to happen NOW it slows to a crawl.

John did the taxes today. I am so happy. I was so afraid that I was going to have to pay a lot of money. We get money back. Enough to put siding on the garage. I guess that means that we will be getting just a plain tub. John says the garage has priority. I guess it is the responsible thing to do. It just is not fun. It is like buying tires. That is no fun either. I told him that a spa tub would add value to the home. He said that siding on the garage would add just as much value to the home. Arghh! There is just no arguing with the man. He is right, of coarse! Maybe if I promise to go out and work a bunch? Thing is, he will want the money up front. He will say "Show me the money honey!"

The Sham Wow was not what made the dog stink. I guess I missed part of him on his previous bath. Just thought you would want to know. Now that I washed the Sham Wow, I think it will be more absorbent.

I had our taxes done today. I usually do them myself, but I had income in 3 states and I didn't know how to do that. Anyway, H&R block charged me $218!!! And I have to pay IRS and the state of Arizona. ick.

You and I are at opposite ends of the anticipation spectrum right now... You are all excited and time is dragging... I'm starting to panic and time is whizzing by me way too quickly. It's all that nesting that hasn't been able to happen... I'm barely going to be able to straighten out some of the chaos over here, let alone get things all nice the way I like them when a new baby comes to live with us. Ahhhhhh!

It's okay though. I have a list. It has things broken down into the number of days I figure I need to be able to get to the things that I REALLY need to get to, and as far as I can figure I'll be ready on Sunday evening... Which gives me all of Monday (after the hospital check-in) to hang out with you guys and finish anything I missed when I wrote the list. (Like our taxes. Meh. They can wait.)

In other news. I went to the doctor. I got a prescription. Hopefully it will help.

refunds are excellent... we're getting one also. we're going to fix our truck (finally!), and do some minor renovations upstairs, paint and laminate flooring mainly... i've already started removing the dreaded rose wallpaper... that stuff is horrid... i am so glad to see it gone lol.
so happy that you guys get to be here to meet hannah. this is super exciting. hope you have a safe trip and great visit!!

Yeah, it's annoying when you'd like extra money to be fun money and it has to work instead. I need a new roof on the garage.
But I always use a little bit of the return to do something for myself, so it's ok.

A new grandbaby is very exciting. You are ahead of me by 3 but I will also have a new one in Sept. Can hardly wait. I am also anxious to see pics or Hannah when she arrives.

Yaaay for the tax refund , and too bad you won't get to spend it on a spa! You can never win them all, can't you?

We always have extra taken out so we don't have to worry about having to pay. It will go into our home account for a craft room in the back of the garage.
