Simply Amazing

It is simply amazing that there are green things in my yard on November third. Not only are there living greenery but these little guys are still blooming. I admit they must be hardy plants as we have had some heavy frost but to have anything at all blooming in November is stunning.

It is like God put his hands around these guys and caused the fragile to defy all odds and survive. These flowers lift my spirits. These flowers remind me that nothing is impossible for God. Sometimes I feel very fragile and that if I get hit with any more frost, I will shatter into a thousand pieces, then I am reminded that God does have his hands around me. He is protecting me from the frost. He lifts my head. He walks with me in the dark places. He holds my hand. I feel his presence. His smile is beautiful.

The Kinsmen phoned about a half an hour ago. They have approved the funding for us. God has blessed us through them and through all of our family and coworkers and friends and God's hand has reached down to us through all of you. We have been shown overwhelming favor and grace. I am crying. I feel so loved and protected and cared for. I thank God for each one of you.

That was a great post, Chris. I know what you mean about feeling like if you get hit with one more thing...I know my daugther has been feeling the same way. She sees the light at the end of the tunnel and then a train comes along to block it. Each time, though, something happens to rekindle the hope and optimism for the future. That is what the flowers represent to me.
I'm so glad your funding got approved. I'm sorry I didn't answer your question about those areas you were looking at. I was trying to get in touch with my son, because he would know more about the area. He lives in Capital Hill which is right next door to First Hill. I don't know much about individual neighborhoods in Seattle as far as living there goes. Where Sean lives isn't the worst, but not the best either. I am continuing to try and reach him. I'm not sure if his phone is just not working or what. His brother hasn't been able to reach him either. I will let you know if I find out before time for you to come here. Do you have a date for leaving there, yet?

I am crying also. Sometimes it seems so distant from our lives and then I read a post like this and it becomes very real and close to my heart again. We have been praying and I thank God for holding you in his hand through all this. John is a very blessed man to have found such an amazing woman for a wife. A lesser woman would have caved under the pressure, but you have held on to God and your family through all this. I love you and will keep praying for you.
