Memories Of Summer Past

The tractor pull. The grandparents cheer from the sidelines. "Pedal hard Ben!"

Some old fashioned steam music. I don't know who these people are. It is funny because it looks like they know us and are smiling for the camera. If you double click it looks like she is sticking out her tongue at me. Hmm...maybe she did!

Some old fashioned dancing to the old fashioned music. Note the matching shirts!

Plowing the fields

Threshing with steam power. It was just about impossible to get pictures without other peoples heads in them!

These four get invited to be in the parade. Can you see them waving to the people?

Steam tractors on parade

I am amazed at how many of them still work

Such strange looking machines

Giants on the prairies

What a great picture story, Chris. Ben must have been beside himself with all those big tractors so close.

Wow...that looks like a fun day! I would have loved to see all that old farm equipment.

Aunty Margaret: Ben really did like the tractors, but his GRAMPA was the one who was beside himself. It was a great day. A great weekend really.

That reminds me of when we used to go to Boring, MD for the steam engine show.

So much fun!!! I ADORE the matching shirts :) I don't think I've ever seen a field plowed before outside of my TV :)

Yea I was riveted to the tractors and the teams, and thoughts of how much my father would have loved that day.
