Oh Christmas Tree

I decorated four Christmas trees this year. One upstairs and one downstairs and two at work. The two at work were Festival of tree rejects where someones concept of design went horribly astray. I wish I had a digital camera so I could show you the before and after pictures. Not that the after pictures are so great but you would have loved the before pictures. The one tree was deserted in the basement with a sign around it that said " Would someone make me beautiful again" This tree was never beautiful. It was embellished with white plastic cupids (probably 20). It had a garland composed of red plastic velvet ribbon entertwined with tin foil wrapping paper. It had a skirt of tin foil wrapping paper. It had candle holders made out of some unidentifiable object spray painted silver with beeds glue gunned to hang off it like a bunch of strange wourms. Someone took the candles. The tree itself was spray painted with red paint to kind of highlight it I guess ( at least I think that was the intent) It took two hours to remove the lights that some sick person wrapped around and around and around and up and down and around and up and around and down and you get the picture. I'm not going to describe the second salvage project except to say it was someones concept of the ocean. 99 percent of the staff thought it was the second ugliest tree they had ever seen, the above mentioned tree was the ugliest. One poor soul did actually love the ocean tree and was very upset at the dismanteling of said tree.

I have been checking your blog almost every day. It's nice to hear from you.
I decorated 3 trees this year, or assisted in decorating. One at home, one in the lobby of the school and one in our classroom. I don't mind decorating, but thouroughly detest taking them down.

I only did 1 tree, and I must say that is enough. I used to love doing alot of decorating but since the kid's are not at home I have lost alot of my christmas spirit. I still love christmas but just don't care too much about decorating. It is such a pain to take it all down again in a few weeks. So good for you Chris, getting 4 trees done.
We are tied for doing blogs. I guess I'll have to come up with something soon.

I can't wait to come home. Except I don't want to go on the highways... I wish I had money for the train... I wish we could take the train and pay someone to bring our car and all of our crap.

You know, we haven't even finished decorating our tree. Our ornaments are still sitting in a box beside the tree. And the garland is on my computer desk beside me.

I'm happy to see you've posted, Auntie Chris. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
