Etsy Store and Pay It Forward

Etsy Store

This is something entirely new to me. It probably is not new to you but I am sure that you have been around the whole internet world much more than I have. What a fun thing. An Etsy store sells homemade and vintage items on line. Fab Grandma Karen has just opened her own store selling some of her handmade items. I love her aprons and she is going to draw names to give away a Wait Book: crayon and paper tote that is fantastic to take anyplace that your children have to sit quietly like the doctor's office. I want one because this is how I store my crayons:

Go on over and check out her store and enter her contest. I am interested in opening my own Etsy store too. What do you think? I could sell woodcarvings and knitting. Maybe the girls and other family members would like to sell things on there too. It could be really fun.

Pay It Forward

Paying it forward from Jientje's blog. This is how it works. Jientje has won a handmade item from the blog site that she entered the game at. Now she is going to pay it forward by making something for three other people one of who is moi! Yes! I won and I am going to receive a lovely Belgium lace item hand made by herself! EEEEEEE! I am so excited. Now ladies and possibly one or two gentlemen, it is time for me to pay it forward too so here is your chance. A note to Fluffy...I am working on your box. Hehehe! I have not forgotten. I wanted to finish it by Christmas but hangs head in shame maybe in February. You can still play this if you want as well. I can do a picture frame that matches your box!

The Rules are quite simple:

1. Be one of the first three bloggers to leave a comment on this post, where the first word in the comment is "Yes". By saying "Yes" as the first word, you signify you want to participate in this give away. Being one of the first three to say "Yes" will then entitle you to a handmade item from me. So...that could be a knit item or a woodcarved item. That is about all I know how to do. You don't want me to experiment on you do you? That would be a very brave thing and you may not be happy with the results!

2. Winners must post this challenge on their blog, meaning that they then must Pay It Forward, creating a handmade gift for the first three bloggers who say "Yes" in a comment on THEIR post.

3. The gift that you send to your three friends can be from any price range and you have 365 days to make/ship your item. This means you should be willing to maintain your blog at least until you receive your gift and have shipped your gifts. And, remember: It’s the spirit and the thought that count!

4. When you receive your gift, please feel free to blog about it, sharing appropriate Linky Love!

5. If you are not one of the top three commentors on today’s post, you’re still a winner in this Time of Grace and Giving. Please take this symbol of the seasonal spirit and post it on your blog; start your own Pay It Forward Chain, and encourage your bloggy friends to do the same!

Yes from me, too. I'd like to Pay it Forward, and I know just what I'll make. Perhaps I should consider an Etsy store of my own.

Yes from me too! The first to didn't say yes so I'm assuming I'm still in it!

Now that I know someone wasn't commenting at the same time as me, I'll let you know that I want something knitted, but I'll wait til hopefully February to let you know what it is(if I have any choice!) I would love that little dress and hat outfit like you made for Becky if I'm having a girl and something for a little boy if that's what I'm having! If that's bigger than you were planning to do, I'll even pay for extra yarn! I am just in LOVE with that little outfit!

I would have said yes too! What a fantastic idea to hit the bloggy world! Spreading a little love around! I would have loved something knitted too. I have no idea how to knit, but it is on my life list to learn.

I forgot about the box. But, that's OK. Life has a habit of getting in the way.
